Three color pastel art is an art therapy that draws pictures easily with only three soft pastels of red, blue, yellow. This time, I draw a picture using the technique of three color pastel art, and investigated what kind of influence it has on brain waves.
"Investigation of the effect of painting on brain wave" Overall rating
Confirm decrease of beta wave in brain of more than 70% of people
Beta wave is an electroencephalogram showing a stress condition such as "tension" "anxiety". Comparing the electroencephalograms before and during the 3 color pastel art, respectively, it was confirmed that the beta wave decreased by more than 70% of people. The average value is 34.8% before implementation and 27.4% during operation. For those with the greatest change, the beta wave decreased from 70.5% to 43.8%. It can be said that the stress condition has been relieved by drawing a picture.
Confirm increase of θ wave in brains of more than 90% of people
The θ wave is an electroencephalogram that comes out of the hippocampus when memory is increasing. It is an electroencephalogram that shows that it is measured much during sleep and is deeply relaxed. Comparing the electroencephalograms before and during the 3 color pastel art, respectively, it was confirmed that the θ wave increased by 90% or more. The average value is 10.7% before implementation and 27.8% during execution. For those with the greatest change, θ waves increased from 14.8% to 74.7%. It turned out that by drawing, it became an electroencephalogram which is deeply relaxed and has increased memory.
