At the age of 19, he entered Katsukawa Syunyou and made his debut the following year. 70 years later, Hokusai 's struggle aiming for the area of God as an artist begins. After withdrawing from the Katsukawa school around the age of 35, he learned Chinese painting and Western painting not only the works of Kanou school and Rinba school but also taken it into his own way.
