Make Takoyaki with Automatic Takoyaki Machine!

Takoyaki who is a foreigner is my favorite. It seems to be available even at amazon, so please check it.

  • 1、Break eggs in a bowl and beat well.
    2、Place salt, kombu dashi powder, bonito dashi powder and soy sauce in a big bowl, and mix.
    3、Add icy water but not ice, and mix.
    4、Add beaten egg and mix well.
    5、Add flour and fat free milk to egg mixture, sift 1/3 of the flour into the bowl.
    6、Mix lightly.
    7、Repeat the process 2 more times and mix just enough to get rid of pockets of flour.
    8、Pour batter into a spouted pot. A small ladle to pour the batter, that is OK.
    9、Heat dried pink baby shrimps for 1 minutes in the microwave at 500W. Crumble them.
    10、Cut octopus bite size about 5g.
  • 11、Preheat electric takoyaki pan to 200 degrees C.
    12、Grease the takoyaki pan.
    13、Pour batter into the holes, until they are full. Mix it well every time it is to be cooked.
    14、Put a piece of octopus to each hole.
    15、Add tempura crisps, green onion, dried pink baby shrimp powder and pickled ginger. Even if the wells overflow with batter, it's okay.
    16、When the batter around the hole becomes solid, separate each takoyaki with bamboo skewers.
    17、Return the temperature to 160 degrees C.
    18、Gather rough, uncooked edges and other bits of batter into the main ball with the skewer. Rotate each takoyaki by 90-degree.
    19、Wait for a few minutes. Rotate the takoyaki by 90 degree again and adjust the shape into the hole.
    20、Put some batter to any big crack, and fix it.
    21、Turn over at 200 degrees C.
  • 22、Keep rotating the takoyaki balls, until takoyaki have a golden brown color.
    23、Remove takoyaki from the pan and place on a plate.
    24、Put okonomiyaki sauce on top and sprinkle a bit of aonori seaweed and some bonito flakes.
